A month before a heart attack, your body will warn you of these 6 signs
Here are six warning signs your body may give a month (or weeks) before a heart attack:
Chest Pain or Discomfort
- A common symptom of an impending heart attack is discomfort or pain in the chest area. This can feel like pressure, squeezing, or a burning sensation. It may occur during activity or rest.
Fatigue
- Unusual or extreme tiredness, even when you haven’t exerted yourself, could indicate that your heart is struggling to pump blood effectively.
Shortness of Breath
- Feeling breathless or struggling to take deep breaths, especially during light activities or at rest, may be a sign of reduced blood flow to the heart.
Nausea, Indigestion, or Stomach Pain
- Some people experience gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, bloating, or abdominal pain. These can sometimes be mistaken for indigestion or food poisoning.
Pain in Other Areas of the Body
- Pain or discomfort might radiate to areas such as the arms (usually the left arm), back, neck, jaw, or stomach. This is due to the shared nerve pathways between the heart and these parts of the body.
Sweating or Cold Sweats
- Experiencing excessive sweating or breaking out in a cold sweat without an obvious reason could indicate your body is under stress due to poor heart function
